Hi! I'm Ms. Jacobs!!!

I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us!  It's going to be a year full of learning and a lot of exciting adventures.  Teaching is definitely a passion of mine and I am so excited to work with your childand your family.  So let me tell you a little about me. 

I have a beautiful 5 year old daughter named Maleah who will be attending kindergarten at FLE.  She takes up most of my free time.  Some hobbies that I enjoy are sports (football and basketball), singing and dancing, and writing poetry.

I am the youngest of 3, have 7 nieces and nephews, and am originally from Shreveport, Louisiana.  When I was 13 my family moved to Columbia where I attended E.L. Wright Middle School.  I then attended Spring Valley High School where I played softball and was active in Student Council.  I furthered my education at the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, SC and am currently pursuing my Masters.

This will be my fourth year teaching, but my second year teaching 3rd grade as I previously taught 4th grade math and science.  I am so excited to be on this journey of 3rd grade eLc.  It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students.  I attempt to teach with a passion so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners.  Please let me know if you have any question or concerns.  It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need.  I look forward to a great year together!
