Educational Websites

Google Classroom- This is a site we use in the classroom to convey information between teacher and student.  On this site, students can show assignments and links we use in the classroom.  Make sure your child signs into their google account.  Login information is your child's student number and their school password to get onto the chromebook.

Zearn This site is similar to Front Row and uses the same curriculum we use in math "Eureka Math".  Log in with your child's log in card and practice math concepts.  This is a great way to review previous concepts (3rd grade and below) and also other concepts the will learn in the future.

Forest Lake LibraryHere is the link for the library website that we use in the school. Use this resource for links for reading links and other resources we use to SHARPEN THE SAW!

Front Row- We use this resource for math.  Your child can go on and practice math skills in any math strand: Base 10, Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Geometry, Measurement and Data, and Fractions.  We may also use this in ELA for Word Study.  All your child needs to input is their first and last name and the class code (897dfh).

MAP Site (Click on the links below) On the MAP reading and math sites below, choose your lowest areas to practice. Choose one level above your current score to begin working toward the next level!
                                             MAP Math
         MAP Reading

IXL Math  On IXL, find your lowest strand and your RIT range. This is a great site for math practice!

Prep Dog  On Prep Dog, click on 3rd grade and practice tests. You will be able to choose math or reading. You'll be choosing basic, proficient, or advanced. We don't use those terms to classify students based on MAP scores, but you can use your child's score to determine the appropriate level. At the end of the test, the students may submit it and review any incorrect answers. This is similar to the style of MAP!

Read Works Passages List ReadWorks is a great site for practice with Reading Comprehension.  This is a free site so parents, feel free to create an account.  The site is very user friendly.  It allows you to find passages based on keyword, grade, lexile level, topic, text type, and skill/strategy.  There are questions provided for every text.
